Applied AI Architect, Strategic Enterprise Tech

As a member of the Applied AI team, you will serve as a pre-sales architect and trusted technical advisor to large enterprise customers. You will help customers understand the value of Claude and design successful strategies for integrating and deploying Claude within their technology stacks.

You will focus on strategic accounts within Anthropic's Enterprise Technology business, co-own account plans with account executives, build executive technical champions, and drive multi-quarter adoption roadmaps. The role combines hands-on technical work, customer engagement, solution architecture, and collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey, from discovery and initial evaluation through deployment.
• Coordinate across internal teams and stakeholders to drive customer success.
• Support customers with AI adoption strategies, including use-case scoping, architecture reviews, technical champion development, adoption workshops, and use-case execution.
• Help customers build with both the Claude API and Claude for Enterprise.
• Create and deliver technical content for audiences ranging from engineering and development teams to business executives.
• Reproduce customer environments and problems through hands-on builds and use those solutions to demonstrate paths to production.
• Build relationships with Anthropic's engineering and product teams, communicate customer needs into the product roadmap, and bring product direction back to customer accounts.
• Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into their existing technology stacks.
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for their use cases.
• Identify common integration patterns and contribute insights to Product and Engineering.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
• Maintain strong knowledge of LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in roles such as Field CTO, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Product Manager, with hands-on building experience.
• Experience working with enterprise customers and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
• Experience owning named or strategic enterprise accounts through long buying cycles.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with C-suite executives, engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to translate customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
• Comfort with Python.
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
• Ability to collaborate across organizations, work through trade-offs, and balance competing priorities.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
• Passion for using technology in ways that are safe and beneficial and that advance safe AI systems.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study must be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.
