Details

This role owns the systems side of new product and pricing launches across quote-to-cash systems, from initial pricing discussions through the first billing cycle. The role partners with Product, Pricing, Finance, Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Salesforce developers, and Billing Engineering to ensure that products can be quoted, contracted, billed, taxed, and reported correctly at launch. The role also uses Claude and other AI tools to make launch processes faster and more repeatable.

Responsibilities

  • Own new product and pricing launches across catalog, quoting, contracts, billing, tax, and reporting.
  • Translate pricing and packaging decisions into SKUs, price books, bundles, discount and approval rules, contract terms, billing plans, tax codes, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and operate a repeatable new product introduction playbook, including intake, readiness checklists, sign-offs, launch calendars, and post-launch reviews.
  • Participate in launch planning with Product and Pricing, identifying pricing approaches that cannot be quoted, billed, or reported cleanly and proposing workable alternatives.
  • Design end-to-end pricing models, including usage-based, seat-based, tiered, committed, and multi-year ramp pricing, and define the system of record for each component.
  • Plan customer migrations to new SKUs, including grandfathering, amendments, co-termination, and renewals.
  • Own end-of-sale and product retirement processes without disrupting renewals, billing, or reporting.
  • Coordinate changes across Salesforce, billing systems, and tax platforms.
  • Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Legal to obtain launch sign-offs.
  • Prepare sellers and Deal Desk for launch with quote templates, approval paths, guidance, and enablement.
  • Validate quotes, orders, invoices, and Finance reports after launch, adding controls and reconciliations where needed.
  • Build declarative solutions and write specifications for developers when custom development is required.
  • Use AI to generate catalog changes from pricing specifications, check launch readiness, and test quoting and billing scenarios.

Requirements

  • Experience in GTM or revenue systems as a Business Systems Analyst, Q2C Systems Lead, or similar role, with hands-on ownership of product and pricing launches.
  • Experience launching products or pricing models at a fast-growing company across catalog, quoting, contracts, and billing.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or a similar CPQ tool, including product and pricing data models, price books, bundles, and approval rules.
  • Working knowledge of how pricing decisions flow into bookings, invoicing, tax, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience managing cross-functional processes with Product, Finance, Legal, and Sales sign-offs against fixed launch dates.
  • Hands-on Salesforce administration skills, including Flow, validation rules, page layouts, and approval processes.
  • Ability to build meaningful parts of a solution independently.
  • Clear communication skills across Product, sellers, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in GTM, revenue, or finance systems roles.
  • Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing and billing platforms such as Stripe, Metronome, or Zuora.
  • Experience migrating existing customers to new pricing, including migrations, grandfathering, and amendments at scale.
  • Experience configuring tax codes and tax engines such as Anrok or Avalara.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with billing, ERP, or provisioning systems; comfort reading API payloads and integration logs.
  • Basic SQL skills and experience using a data warehouse to validate launch data.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification. CPQ Specialist, Advanced Administrator, or Business Analyst certification is a plus.
  • Hands-on use of Claude or similar AI tools to design, build, or document systems, with the ability to explain how outputs are validated.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $270,000–$315,000 USD
