About the Team

Web Presence & Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars: Platform and Presence. The Platform pillar builds internal systems, tooling, and infrastructure to support the web. The Presence pillar owns Stripe’s public-facing storytelling across stripe.com, including the homepage, product landing pages, industry and solutions pages, and other high-impact go-to-market surfaces.

Designers on the Presence team work at the intersection of craft and impact, balancing clarity, polish, systems thinking, strategic storytelling, and experimentation. The team collaborates closely with engineering, marketing, content, and product to deliver work that is beautiful and measurably moves the business.

Responsibilities

• Design new and improved experiences across stripe.com, including product, industry, and solution landing pages.
• Collaborate with engineers, product marketing managers, and content designers to define problems, explore solutions, and bring them to life.
• Partner with other designers to maintain and evolve systems that uphold Stripe’s design standards at scale.
• Balance storytelling with usability to create pages that are engaging, credible, and easy to navigate.
• Use user research, user testing, and data to guide and validate design decisions.
• Participate in critique and feedback sessions, contributing to the overall quality bar of the team.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to craft, ensuring designs are functional and visually excellent.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant design experience, ideally in web or product marketing contexts.
• A strong portfolio of web design work demonstrating exceptional visual design skills, systems thinking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently scope and lead small- to medium-sized projects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and interaction fundamentals.
• Comfortable using Figma and working in component-based systems.
• Experience working on CMS-driven websites and modular systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end development workflows or the ability to communicate fluently with engineers.
• Understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
• Experience designing for international audiences or multilingual websites.
• Previous experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
