Developer Relations

Anthropic is seeking a hands-on technical Developer Relations professional to help developers discover, onboard, and get the most out of Claude Code, Claude Tag, and future developer products. The role will support developer adoption, gather feedback for product development, and promote responsible, safe, and secure use of Claude-powered products.

Responsibilities

Drive Technical Strategy and Impact

• Shape how developers discover and engage with Anthropic's developer products, particularly Claude Code and Claude Tag.
• Develop frameworks and mechanisms for measuring developer success in alignment with business objectives and Anthropic's mission.
• Prioritize community and content initiatives using data, developer feedback, and business needs.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure developer needs inform the roadmap.

Developer Relations and Adoption

• Help define world-class AI developer relations practices.
• Model excellence in technical content, code samples, and developer engagement.
• Understand the needs of developers ranging from individual hobbyists to enterprise engineering teams.
• Partner with GTM, Sales, and Marketing on developer-focused campaigns.
• Lead and participate in developer events, workshops, and community activities.
• Create technical content, including sample applications, tutorials, documentation, integration guides, and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Advocate for developer needs and translate feedback into product and content initiatives.
• Collaborate with Research to turn AI capabilities into accessible educational resources.
• Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories.
• Promote responsible AI practices among developers building with Claude.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product or engineering roles.
• A track record of shipping content or tools that measurably grew a developer ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and API concepts, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas to individual developers and enterprise engineers.
• Ability to write production-quality code demos, review developer samples, and provide actionable technical feedback.
• Understanding of developer psychology, behavior, engagement channels, and adoption-focused content design.
• Interest in AI safety, ethics, and responsible AI development.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across teams without direct authority.
• Experience working in high-growth environments and adapting to changing priorities.
• Minimum education of a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with large language models or generative AI.
• Background in AI safety, ethics, or responsible AI development.
• Public speaking experience at industry conferences and events.
• Technical writing or video tutorial creation experience.
