Details

The ChatGPT team works across research, engineering, product, and design to bring OpenAI's technology to the world. The team seeks to learn from deployment and broadly distribute the benefits of AI while ensuring that the technology is used responsibly and safely.

The Growth team is looking for an experienced full-stack engineer to lead high-impact projects that expand the ChatGPT user base and Plus subscribers. Projects may include optimizing account access, notifications, SEO, value discovery, and virality. The role requires identifying strategic opportunities and incremental improvements that can generate significant impact.

Responsibilities

Drive the long-term growth of ChatGPT through data analysis, product ideation, and experimentation to optimize product experiences.
Plan and deploy backend APIs needed to power product experiences.
Execute projects in close collaboration with research, product, design, data science, and other product team members.
Create a diverse and inclusive culture that welcomes everyone, encourages radical candor, and challenges groupthink.

Requirements

Experience shipping web features that optimize user funnels, including landing pages, product pages, purchase flows, and search flows.
Strong analytical skills and experience designing and implementing A/B tests using a scientific approach to data-based experimentation.
Ability to define and track business metrics and key performance indicators.
Strong motivation to learn and develop missing skills, along with the ability to share information clearly and concisely.
Comfort working with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions, and the ability to add structure and order when necessary.
