Details

Anthropic is building connected enterprise experiences for Claude across zero-touch activation, a connector ecosystem, and an enterprise control plane. This role owns the path from discovering a connector to using it every day, including default and suggested connectors, connector requests, identity, and administration features.

Responsibilities

  • Own connector activation end to end, measuring the funnel from discovery to first use to habit, identifying drop-offs, and improving conversion.
  • Build and run experiments involving default connectors, in-product suggestions, connector requests, and onboarding flows.
  • Make setup close to zero-touch using open standards such as Cross App Access (XAA) and the MCP authorization specification.
  • Improve frequently used connectors, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, so the first experience works reliably.
  • Create reusable platform foundations that make connectors easier to launch, discover, and activate.
  • Build the enterprise control plane, including administrative controls and governance features such as domain restrictions, labels, and permissions.
  • Partner with product, design, data science, and sales to turn usage data and customer feedback into priorities.
  • Set technical direction and standards, mentor engineers, and lead through influence.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping growth or activation work, including onboarding flows, funnels, experimentation, and usage measurement.
  • Familiarity with authorization and identity technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SSO.
  • Experience building on large platform APIs, such as Microsoft Graph or Google Workspace, and debugging failures across system boundaries.
  • Experience building platform or ecosystem surfaces used by other teams or developers, with an emphasis on durable APIs.
  • Understanding of enterprise administration, security policies, permissions, and governance at scale.
  • Ability to use data and user research to guide product decisions and explain tradeoffs to product and design partners.
  • Experience driving cross-team and cross-company alignment through influence.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years at Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
  • Experience contributing to or implementing emerging authorization standards, including IETF OAuth drafts or MCP authorization.
  • Experience with data governance or information protection, including sensitivity labels and DLP.
  • Experience building administrative consoles or policy engines for multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience running growth experiments on activation funnels.
  • Experience building AI products or agent tool integrations using MCP.
  • Experience growing a developer or partner ecosystem around a platform.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.

Work Arrangement and Benefits

  • Locations: San Francisco, California, or New York City, New York.
  • Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
  • Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
  • Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to obtain a visa for successful candidates, with support from an immigration lawyer.
