ING Hubs Poland is hiring a GCP Platform Engineer to join a multinational, distributed team responsible for building ING’s next-generation Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud. The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions that enable data-driven innovation across ING. The team operates using agile, lean, and design-thinking principles, with an emphasis on platform engineering excellence, an automation-first mindset, and modern cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ING’s Data Analytics Platform on GCP.
  • Develop infrastructure automation services using Golang.
  • Create and maintain cloud-native, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Support platform users and ensure smooth tenant onboarding.
  • Improve and evolve key platform components and architecture.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Ensure platform reliability, including participation in on-call rotations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Hands-on experience building data platforms on GCP using services such as Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, and GCS.
  • Strong experience with Golang, particularly in building infrastructure or automation services.
  • An Infrastructure as Code mindset; Terraform is required.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, such as Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and infrastructure automation practices.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPC, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Solid understanding of secure authentication and encryption concepts, including OIDC, KMS, and SSL/TLS.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and contribute to design documentation and discussions.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing on GCP.
  • Experience optimizing infrastructure and platform performance.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • A strong automation-first mindset.

The global ING job architecture role naming convention is “Engineer IV.”

Salary

The expected salary is PLN 13,000–28,000 per month. The financial ranges specified in the announcement are indicative and may differ from those defined in the remuneration regulations.
