About the Team

The Professional Services team combines payments and financial expertise with experience integrating Stripe technology across thousands of projects. The team helps customers create marketplaces, launch subscription businesses, expand globally, and maximize long-term value through implementation and post-launch services.

Stripe is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join its distributed Southeast Asia team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project members, solving complex technical challenges and building credibility and deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, and other customer-facing teams to drive client engagement, customer wins, and Professional Services revenue.
• Plan and execute end-to-end integration engineering, from high-level architecture through code implementation.
• Explain technical concepts and how Stripe works, including product features and API architecture.
• Educate users and the developer community about Stripe’s value proposition, best practices, and new technical developments.
• Act as the primary ongoing technical point of contact for the technical teams of Stripe’s largest users and partners.
• Maintain knowledge of new Stripe technologies and software products, and demonstrate technical thought leadership through whitepapers, conferences, and industry events.
• Provide recommendations, feedback, and best practices to product and engineering teams.
• Contribute to Professional Services methodologies and tools that accelerate engagements and simplify troubleshooting.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in an architecture, technical consulting, process re-engineering, application delivery, or technical engineering role.
• Experience with code-level debugging of Stripe code and user code.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and Stripe’s product features and API architecture.
• Experience with enterprise-level systems, including middleware, third-party API integrations, systems flows, data and business object modeling, and use-case or user-interface production.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• A strong sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, as the role primarily supports clients in the Greater China region.
• Ability to accommodate light quarterly travel for customer on-site visits and team meetings.
