Details

As manager of Anthropic's Healthcare and Life Sciences Solutions Architect team within Applied AI, you will drive the adoption of frontier AI in partnership with the go-to-market organization. You will lead and grow a pre-sales team supporting customers across payers, providers, life sciences, medtech, and other healthcare verticals. The team helps customers understand and deploy Anthropic products, including Claude Code, Cowork, Claude Science, and the Claude Development Platform (API).

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage, and guide a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects through technical guidance and career development.
  • Set team performance goals in collaboration with sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a technical sponsor for high-value strategic customers, advising on AI adoption strategies, use-case scoping, and deployment.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop strategies for driving adoption of Anthropic products across verticals and horizontal use cases.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to prioritize customer feedback and resolve adoption blockers.
  • Travel to customer sites and conferences for executive sessions, technical workshops, and relationship building.
  • Establish a shared vision for creating solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI in technology products.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through conference presentations, webinars, and technical content.
  • Stay current with emerging AI trends and the evolving ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical professional.
  • 3+ years of technical pre-sales management experience.
  • Experience selling complex technical products to Healthcare and Life Sciences companies.
  • Deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases, API integrations, or enterprise solution rollouts.
  • Understanding of go-to-market organizations based on a consumption business model rather than SaaS sales cycles.
  • Experience building and rapidly scaling teams and processes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching abilities.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to foster relationships with technical leaders and engineering teams.
  • At least a high-level familiarity with the architecture and operation of large language models.
  • Passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial.
  • Active interest in emerging AI research and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study must be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading Solutions Architect teams through hypergrowth, ideally teams of 10 to 50 or more people, with experience managing senior individual contributors and developing junior talent in complex enterprise software sales environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns, along with a record of engaging C-level stakeholders in $10 million or larger technical evaluations and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated Healthcare and Life Sciences go-to-market experience across payers, providers, life sciences, medtech, or other healthcare verticals.

Benefits

Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and an office environment for collaboration. Staff are currently expected to work from one of the company's offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time. Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to support visa applications with an immigration lawyer.
