We are looking for a strategic design leader to shape the overarching strategy for customer engagement, loyalty, and membership across the platform. The role focuses on complex, evolving environments and end-to-end systems, influencing product direction and organizational priorities across cross-functional teams.

The designer will collaborate with product, data, and business leadership to shape the long-term vision for customer value and lifecycle experiences, while providing strategic direction to product designers and raising the quality of design thinking, systems execution, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term design vision and strategy for customer engagement, membership programs, and user value across the product ecosystem.
  • Partner with leadership across Product, Engineering, Data, and other business areas to identify growth opportunities, shape investment priorities, and influence multi-year roadmaps.
  • Lead design direction for lifecycle touchpoints, including onboarding, benefit delivery, tier structures, personalized incentives, and long-term retention journeys.
  • Drive product discovery by framing complex opportunities, mapping customer needs, prototyping future-state concepts, and validating core assumptions.
  • Simplify complex behavioral, commercial, and technical requirements into intuitive, elegant, and motivating user experiences.
  • Establish frameworks for measurement and optimization, partnering with Data teams to evaluate user behavior, run experiments, and maximize business impact.
  • Define scalable information architecture, interaction models, and cross-platform design patterns for web and native mobile applications.
  • Provide design leadership to senior practitioners through mentorship, quality standards, initiative alignment, and systems thinking.
  • Integrate modern tools, including AI workflows, to accelerate exploration and execution while maintaining human-centered design and evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design leadership and end-to-end ownership of complex, high-impact consumer products that delivered measurable user and business growth.
  • Experience operating as a Principal or Staff Product Designer and influencing product strategy across organizational boundaries without direct line authority.
  • Deep understanding of customer engagement, retention mechanics, behavioral design, and subscription or membership models at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to design interconnected user journeys across complex digital ecosystems and multi-sided platforms.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, personalization, and lifecycle metrics.
  • Strong interaction design and prototyping capabilities, with attention to motion, micro-interactions, and polished customer touchpoints.
  • Exceptional storytelling and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to senior executive leadership.
  • Expertise in modern design workflows, including emerging AI-assisted toolkits.
