About ClickHouse

Recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list, ClickHouse is one of the most innovative and fast-growing private cloud companies. With more than 3,000 customers and ARR that has grown over 250% year over year, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. The company recently closed a $400M Series D financing round and serves customers including Meta, Tesla, Capital One, and others.

We are seeking a high-impact Principal Product Manager to lead ClickHouse’s strategy for highly regulated sectors, specifically focusing on FedRAMP compliance and the global expansion of Sovereign Cloud offerings. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, security engineering, and compliance and will own the roadmap for achieving FedRAMP certification and define product architecture for restricted environments (e.g., European Sovereign Cloud, KSA).

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the multi-year roadmap to achieve FedRAMP Moderate certification and eventually FedRAMP High for ClickHouse product offerings.
  • Partner with engineering and the compliance team to ensure product capabilities support SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI and other frameworks.
  • Translate complex federal security requirements into actionable product specifications for Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, audit logging, and personnel access controls.
  • Serve as the primary product nominee for FIPS compliance modules and government-specific licensing models.
  • Lead product strategy for European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) and KSA regions, addressing legal, partnership (e.g., CNTXT), and infosec prerequisites.
  • Define data residency and personnel control requirements (for example, in-country staff and cleared personnel) to support data sovereignty.
  • Collaborate with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud on specialized deployment packages (e.g., Assured Workloads) for restricted jurisdictions.
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, security, operations, and sales to launch products in regulated markets.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years deeply focused on cloud security, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS compliance.
  • Domain expertise: Deep understanding of FedRAMP (Moderate/High) requirements and the certification process for multi-tenant cloud services.
  • Technical depth: Strong grasp of cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure), including VPC peering, private endpoints, encryption (BYOK/KMS), and multi-tenant security.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with global data sovereignty trends and regulations such as GDPR and their impact on cloud region strategy.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex compliance and technical concepts to engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of working cross-functionally across legal, security, operations, and sales to launch products in regulated markets.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior experience securing a data platform, database product, or real-time analytics service.
  • Experience commercializing open-source technologies for enterprise-grade deployments.

Compensation

  • Typical starting salary for this role in the United States: $180,000 - $265,000 USD.
  • Typical starting salary for US Premium Markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro Area): $210,000 - $300,000 USD.

These ranges reflect the expected minimum and maximum pay at the time of posting; actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. For compensation questions: [email protected].

  • Flexible work environment — globally distributed and remote-friendly. ClickHouse operates in over 20 countries.
  • Employer contributions toward healthcare.
  • Stock options for new employees.
