The Design Team is a dynamic, multidisciplinary group of Product designers, UX/UI designers, UX researchers, UX writers, and Graphic designers. We're building the future of digital freedom across our cybersecurity suite products, such as NordVPN, NordPass, Saily, and Coveron. We aim to simplify the complex world of cybersecurity for everyone and thrive on honest feedback, initiative, bold ideas, and ownership.
The Product Designer will own the experience where users control their relationship with the products—the User Control Panel (UCP) and account management platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the core account lifecycle experience end to end, from raw insight or vague ticket to a clear problem statement, explored directions, and a shipped, measured solution.
- Shape internal tools or Support Center flows where they connect to the core account experience.
- Surface assumptions early with product owners and engineers, challenge briefs when evidence points elsewhere, and determine when removing a flow is the best design solution.
- Apply and help grow the design system by proposing new components when gaps are identified.
- Back design decisions with evidence by partnering with UX Research or running validation independently.
- Stay close to engineers during development and own Design QA to ensure the shipped product matches the intended design.
- Collaborate daily with product owners and engineers, and partner with UX writers and UX researchers where needed.
