Details

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps organizations work smarter with AI. Its platform combines enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, enterprise and personal knowledge graphs, more than 100 SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs.

Responsibilities

As the PM for agent interoperability and partnerships, you will lead the development of Glean's APIs, SDKs, and MCP strategy for developers at customer and partner organizations. You will collaborate with leading B2B product companies on partnership strategy.

  • Own the design and evolution of public APIs and SDKs, including versioning, deprecation, and backwards-compatibility commitments.
  • Define the end-to-end developer experience, including authentication, onboarding, first calls, error handling, rate limiting, webhooks, and edge cases.
  • Write code, build sample applications, run integrations, and identify product rough edges before customers encounter them.
  • Review documentation from a developer's perspective and improve unclear or incomplete content.
  • Analyze support tickets and forum discussions to identify recurring issues and treat them as potential design defects.
  • Define and defend metrics including time-to-first-call, integration success rate, API error rates, and other indicators of developer adoption.
  • Finalize API contracts and requirements before engineering begins and manage scope during implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with platform, developer experience, API, SDK, or partnership-driven products.
  • Deep technical knowledge and the ability to work through API contracts, request payloads, logs, telemetry, and implementation tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Experience building or leading robust, scalable APIs and SDKs for external developers.
  • Strong product judgment for developer interfaces, including clear abstractions, consistent resource design, and machine-readable errors.
  • Ability to evaluate products from a developer's perspective and identify confusing documentation, workflows, or product behavior.
  • Experience working directly with customer and partner developers and translating their needs into platform improvements.
  • Experience integrating products with third-party enterprise applications and making those integrations reliable in production.
  • Strong written communication skills and an appreciation for concise specifications, accurate documentation, and clear developer experiences.
  • Ability to define and track adoption, usability, and business-impact metrics for developer-facing products.
  • Interest in AI and motivation to help customers and partners build more effectively with it.

This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week in the Mountain View office or San Francisco office.
