Details

Glean is seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to lead the Core Experience product area: the full-stack, high-polish, consumer-grade experiences that define how users interact with Glean.

The role sits at the intersection of AI, consumer-quality product craft, growth, and platform strategy. You will own the surfaces where users start and do their work every day, including Homepage, Mobile, Desktop, Browser Extension, SDK, the app shell, navigation, notifications, and settings. You will shape a consistent product journey across Glean's touchpoints and partner closely with the Search and Chat teams.

The Core Experience area focuses on engagement, session depth, virality, collaboration, onboarding, and rapid experimentation to turn first-time users into daily, mission-critical habits. You will work with product, engineering, design, data, growth, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams to identify product opportunities, raise the bar for product craft, and translate broad vision into concrete, shippable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Core Experience, translating company vision into specific product bets, experiences, and execution plans informed by customer needs, usage data, and market signals.
  • Own the end-to-end quality of Glean's core surfaces, including Homepage, Mobile, Desktop, Browser Extension, SDK, app shell, navigation, and settings.
  • Partner closely with the Search and Chat teams to influence their roadmaps and ensure seamless integration into a cohesive end-to-end user journey.
  • Engage with users, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand workflows and identify friction, drop-off, and fragmentation affecting engagement and retention.
  • Drive growth, engagement, virality, collaboration, and session depth in partnership with growth and data teams, focusing on activation, onboarding, and retention.
  • Lead rapid experimentation using A/B tests, instrumentation, and qualitative research to improve core metrics and support data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to turn ambiguous concepts into well-scoped products with clear user flows, interaction patterns, quality standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Balance long-term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points, strategic customer requests, and company priorities.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market, solutions, support, and forward-deployed teams to incorporate real customer problems into product strategy.
  • Define concrete workflows, UI behavior, performance expectations, and adoption paths to ensure a high bar for product craft.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning and shipping meaningful product areas in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI products, consumer products, or high-engagement workflow platforms.
  • Strong product sense and the ability to translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear, polished product experiences while moving between strategy and detailed execution.
  • Deep interest in AI and software, including search, chat, context, and proactive intelligence.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth, engagement, and retention through experimentation, instrumentation, and data-driven iteration.
  • Excellent cross-functional partnership and influencing skills, including the ability to align teams across surfaces that are not directly owned.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort partnering with engineering and data teams on retrieval, ranking, client infrastructure, and intelligence layers across web, desktop, mobile, and SDK surfaces.
  • Ability to demonstrate granular product thinking, including workflow design, interaction models, and sequencing capabilities for customer adoption.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous and emerging product areas while creating clarity, momentum, and alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ownership, initiative, and a learning and growth mindset.
  • Mission-first approach with a focus on product and team success.
  • Early adopter of AI tools, platforms, or workflows for product craft and customer AI adoption.
  • Candidates will complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion during the interview process.

Location

  • Hybrid role requiring four days per week in Glean's San Francisco office.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Standard base salary range: $200,000–$300,000 annually.

  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Generous time-off policy.
  • 401(k) contribution plan.
  • Home office improvement stipend.
  • Annual education and wellness stipends.
  • Regular company events and healthy lunches daily.
