Details
Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company, with quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.” The Product Manager will join the developer team and own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of Coinbase’s next-generation payment experiences. The role focuses on bridging traditional commerce with Web3 through seamless fiat and crypto checkout and funding experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the end-to-end product DRI for the Pay suite, overseeing the merchant portal and checkout user experience, including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and subscriptions.
- Drive the product roadmap for the Payment Acceptance API, OAuth deep-linking integrations, and headless Onramp APIs.
- Expand and optimize the headless Onramp API, Coinbase OAuth retail funding flows, and merchant payment acceptance infrastructure.
- Enable frictionless fiat-to-crypto and stablecoin payments using cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfers, self-custodial wallets, Coinbase retail accounts, and stablecoins.
- Collaborate with cross-chain infrastructure providers such as Across and Relay to enable multi-asset routing, including USDT to USDC.
- Drive integrations with major commerce and payment service provider platforms, including PPRO and Checkout.com.
- Architect unified checkout experiences connecting traditional payment rails with decentralized ecosystems, DeFi applications, and self-custodial wallets.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, partner platforms, payment service providers, business development, compliance, and enterprise partners worldwide.
- Lead initiatives that expand global merchant adoption and establish benchmarks for stablecoin and digital asset payments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of technical product management experience.
- Deep understanding of payment service providers, acquiring, authorization and settlement mechanics, and merchant acquiring ecosystems.
- Familiarity with cross-border payment regulations, fintech compliance, and international licensing frameworks across the United States, European Union, and Latin America.
- Experience designing, launching, and scaling developer-facing products, headless APIs, SDKs, and deep-link or OAuth integration frameworks.
- Working understanding of crypto transactions, stablecoins, self-custodial wallets, and cross-chain bridge and liquidity protocols.
- Track record operating at an IC5 or Staff Product Manager level and independently driving cross-functional roadmaps with engineering, business development, compliance, and tier-one enterprise partners.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $148,835–$171,500 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
- Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
