About the Role

Governments around the world are changing how businesses report and exchange transactions. Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) and e-invoicing mandates, active or imminent in France, Germany, Spain, Poland, and across Latin America, require businesses to transmit structured invoice data through certified government networks in real time.

Stripe is building e-invoicing infrastructure that makes compliance invisible for its users by embedding compliant invoice generation, validation, and transmission directly into Stripe Billing and Invoicing. The role owns Stripe's e-invoicing product end-to-end, including strategy, execution, and the product experience for businesses navigating global real-time invoicing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the e-invoicing product vision and roadmap, translating complex and evolving regulatory requirements into a coherent multi-year strategy.
• Drive Stripe's expansion across mandated markets, including France, Germany, Spain, Poland, and Latin America, while sequencing coverage against enforcement timelines.
• Lead build, buy, and partner decisions to meet compliance deadlines without sacrificing long-term product quality.
• Define and own the end-to-end user journey, from onboarding and business identity verification to live invoice transmission via certified networks such as Peppol.
• Work with the Billing, Invoicing, Tax, and Connect teams to embed e-invoicing as a native part of Stripe's financial infrastructure.
• Establish quality, reliability, and activation metrics for the e-invoicing stack and use them to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with go-to-market, Sales, and Solutions Engineering teams to position Stripe as an e-invoicing solution for upmarket and enterprise customers.
• Represent Stripe with regulators, certification bodies, and industry partners, including tax authorities and networks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a B2B fintech, payments, tax, or compliance-adjacent product domain.
• Deep familiarity with e-invoicing, CTC frameworks, structured invoice formats such as Factur-X, XRechnung, and PEPPOL BIS, and regulatory dynamics in Europe and Latin America.
• Strong technical fluency, including the ability to partner with engineers on API design, data schemas, and network integration architecture.
• Experience conducting build, buy, and partner analyses and translating results into roadmap decisions.
• Experience launching products across multiple markets, including localization, regulatory compliance, and differing user needs.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Legal, Finance, and go-to-market teams.
• Clear, direct communication skills for explaining complex compliance landscapes to internal and external audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating third-party technology providers or acquisitions into a core product platform.
• Familiarity with Stripe Billing, Invoicing, or Tax products.
• Experience building toward Peppol access point certification or integrating directly with national tax authority platforms such as Chorus Pro and KSeF.
• Exposure to B2B invoicing workflows in mid-market or enterprise contexts.
