Who We Are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet.
About the Team
The Risk PMO team protects Stripe’s revenue and drives cross-functional strategy for company-level and organization-level priorities. As Stripe operates across an increasingly complex and fast-moving global regulatory environment, the team ensures that its largest, most strategic users can grow compliantly, confidently, and at speed.
The team works at the intersection of Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Product, Data Science, and go-to-market functions. It builds durable systems that enable strong collaboration across functions and seamless user experiences.
What You’ll Do
This is a highly visible, senior individual contributor role. You will define, own, and execute program strategies for large-scale regulatory initiatives, operating with significant autonomy across a portfolio of global projects. You will set strategic direction while also driving execution by building templates, tracking deliverables, writing documentation, and unblocking cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute high-stakes global programs end-to-end, from initial strategy and scoping through project planning, day-to-day tracking, and change management.
- Drive improvements in operational processes by building systems and workflows that improve business outcomes and top-line metrics.
- Bridge compliance and commercial strategy by partnering with go-to-market and account leadership to turn complex regulatory requirements into a competitive advantage.
- Build and run operating models across cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
- Keep distributed workstreams aligned and accountable.
- Prepare strategic reviews for senior stakeholders and manage critical escalations.
- Establish structured, data-driven approaches to gather user feedback and turn insights into product and operational improvements.
- Diagnose and resolve systemic operational gaps before they affect users.
- Build self-healing processes and scalable internal infrastructure.
- Champion Stripe’s operating principles by fostering a high-performance culture that values rigorous thinking, rapid execution, and putting users first.
Requirements
You are expected to be a strategic operator, masterful communicator, and systems thinker with operational grit. You should be able to translate ambiguous global challenges into structured and actionable operational frameworks, lead through influence, and manage complex problems with close attention to user impact.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in Program Management, Strategy and Operations, Management Consulting, or Go-to-Market Strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- A proven track record of hands-on execution as an individual contributor, managing complex, multi-stakeholder project plans and deliverables from inception to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex, technical, or regulatory topics through clear, succinct, and persuasive narratives for external and senior audiences.
- Deep experience designing, launching, and scaling complex cross-functional operating models, feedback loops, and PMO frameworks.
- A willingness to learn, adapt quickly to changing environments, and actively seek and act on feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in high-growth technology or fintech environments.
- Experience working closely with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and go-to-market or Sales teams.
- Experience using data visualization tools and analytical frameworks to support strategic decisions and measure program success.
