Security Specialist Solutions Architect

As ClickHouse expands further into financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and the public sector across the Americas, many deals depend on questions about data location, access, encryption, and audit requirements. This role owns those conversations as a security specialist overlay within the AMER Solutions Architecture team, supporting opportunities involving security, data residency, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience in the data industry and combines deep security expertise with strong data architecture knowledge. They will serve as a credible technical voice for CISOs and security architects and as an internal authority for the field organization.

Responsibilities

• Act as the security overlay on AMER opportunities, supporting conversations about security, privacy, and compliance alongside account Solutions Architects and Account Executives.
• Discuss ClickHouse deployment models, BYOC architectures, and related security considerations with customers and prospects.
• Lead security conversations with CISOs, security architects, and GRC teams, translating ClickHouse architecture into recognized control frameworks.
• Design and validate secure ClickHouse Cloud and BYOC deployment patterns, including network isolation, private connectivity, encryption, customer-managed keys, identity federation, and granular access control.
• Run threat modeling and architecture reviews with customer security teams.
• Own the security workstream through proof of concept and production readiness.
• Serve as the field authority on ClickHouse's compliance posture, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, CMMC, and state privacy requirements such as CCPA and CPRA.
• Improve the quality and speed of security questionnaires, security sections of RFPs, DPIAs, and third-party risk reviews.
• Build a reusable library of security responses.
• Create the security playbook for AMER Solutions Architecture and enable Solutions Architects and Account Executives to handle routine security questions.

Requirements

• Significant customer-facing technical experience at a data platform, analytics, streaming, or database company.
• Strong understanding of data architecture in addition to security controls.
• Demonstrable expertise in cloud and data security, including IAM, key management and cryptography, network isolation, secure multi-tenancy, threat modeling, and audit.
• Working knowledge of enterprise data security and compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
• Familiarity with US public-sector and privacy requirements.
• Credibility with security buyers and the ability to communicate effectively with CISOs.
