The role focuses on designing and implementing backend services and APIs for access-control auditing tools, audit logging, session-recording summarization, and identity workflows. Engineers participate in the full product development cycle, including understanding customer security needs, writing design RFDs, and implementing distributed systems in Go. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and security researchers to secure and monitor infrastructure access at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
- Improve the scalability and resiliency of clusters with more than 10,000 nodes.
- Implement advanced HTTPS proxies with identity-aware access control.
- Build hardened security capabilities for Linux and macOS users.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs for access controls, auditing, logging, session recording summarization, and identity workflows.
- Work with customers and cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle.
Requirements
- Experience with Go or Rust.
- Linux systems engineering experience.
- Cryptography engineering experience is a plus.
- Successful candidates will complete a coding challenge in Go using GitHub.
Compensation
The posting displays a base salary range of $180,880–$342,000 and offers equity. The stated US base salary ranges are $189,000–$278,000 for level 4 and $232,560–$342,000 for level 5. The UK base salary ranges are £138,000–£151,800 for level 4 and £178,000–£195,800 for level 5. Salary depends on role level, work location, skills, experience, and education or training.
