Details
NVIDIA’s HPC Compiler Team is hiring a Compiler Developer to join the team building a high-performance optimizing compiler used in leading HPC projects (weather modeling, climatology, fluid dynamics, defense, and other scientific applications).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for high-performance CPUs and GPUs
- Work with application teams to tackle compilation problems relevant to scientific and HPC workloads
- Partner with team members on projects related to high-performance computing and optimizations
- Interact directly with open source community teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
- 6+ years of experience developing production-quality compilers or compiler tools (or equivalent experience)
- Proven understanding of compiler internals, front-ends, and optimizers
- Strong programming fundamentals, especially in C/C++
- Deep understanding of parallel computer architectures and optimizations
Preferred / Ways to stand out
- Experience with the EDG compiler front end or LLVM is a significant plus
- Familiarity with C++, OpenMP, and OpenACC standards
- Demonstrated passion for compiler development and strong problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (base salary determined by location, experience, and market comparisons)
- Eligible for equity and company benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page)
