Details

NVIDIA’s HPC Compiler Team is hiring a Compiler Developer to join the team building a high-performance optimizing compiler used in leading HPC projects (weather modeling, climatology, fluid dynamics, defense, and other scientific applications).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new features for high-performance CPUs and GPUs
  • Work with application teams to tackle compilation problems relevant to scientific and HPC workloads
  • Partner with team members on projects related to high-performance computing and optimizations
  • Interact directly with open source community teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
  • 6+ years of experience developing production-quality compilers or compiler tools (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven understanding of compiler internals, front-ends, and optimizers
  • Strong programming fundamentals, especially in C/C++
  • Deep understanding of parallel computer architectures and optimizations

Preferred / Ways to stand out

  • Experience with the EDG compiler front end or LLVM is a significant plus
  • Familiarity with C++, OpenMP, and OpenACC standards
  • Demonstrated passion for compiler development and strong problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (base salary determined by location, experience, and market comparisons)
