Details
NVIDIA is seeking a creative and highly motivated firmware engineer to join the NVLink team within its Networking organization. The role focuses on developing software for next-generation PHY, SERDES, and link-level devices that connect AI and high-performance computing systems. The engineer will own the integration, testing, and validation of PHY firmware, with an emphasis on low-level development, automation, testing, and hardware-software integration.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop high-performance software and firmware for PHY and link-level devices within the NVLink ecosystem.
- Own the delivery of advanced networking features from design through final verification.
- Define, develop, and maintain robust, maintainable, and portable verification infrastructure and regression test suites.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues while owning the end-to-end interface to NVIDIA's core CSP customers.
- Work with continuous integration systems and regression tools to automate builds, execute comprehensive test suites, and analyze complex results.
- Drive improvements in product quality and reliability through creative, innovative approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in the semiconductor, networking, or embedded systems space.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software verification and test automation.
- Deep working knowledge of the Linux environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, motivation, creativity, and a passion for deep-tech innovation and testing.
Compensation And Benefits
- Base salary range of USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3.
- Base salary range of USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
- Salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
- Eligibility for equity and benefits.
