Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help grow the Grafana plugin ecosystem. The role focuses on the full plugin lifecycle, including development tooling, catalog publishing, discovery, installation, updates, delivery, review, and marketplace functionality.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States or Canada, within the Eastern or Central time zones.

Responsibilities

Build new Grafana Marketplace features across the Grafana frontend, Go services, and grafana.com.
Improve how users and AI agents discover and install plugins.
Make it easier and faster for developers to build, test, and publish plugins.
Automate and improve the review process for published plugins.
Support the operations and reliability of plugin installation and delivery in Grafana Cloud.
Work with plugin developers and partners to turn feedback into roadmap items.
Suggest and implement process improvements.
Collaborate closely with the wider Grafana Division.
Contribute to the Grafana Marketplace, plugin catalog, plugin installation and management, plugin delivery, plugin review, developer tooling, and developer portal.
Participate in pragmatic AI-assisted development, including prototyping, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and incident follow-ups, while maintaining strong code review and quality standards.

Requirements

Solid experience with Golang and TypeScript.
Experience with React and building user-facing web applications.
Experience with Kubernetes and microservices.
Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
Experience participating in an on-call rotation and performing operations or SRE tasks.
Ability to transform ideas into working code, design solutions, gather feedback, and deliver large projects.
Customer-focused approach and a passion for creating intuitive products.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote-first company.

Bonus Points

Experience building or publishing a Grafana plugin.
Experience working on a marketplace, app store, package registry, billing, or licensing.
Experience building developer tooling such as CLIs, SDKs, or CI pipelines used by other engineers.
Strong experience working with Product Managers or external stakeholders.

Compensation

The US OTE/base compensation range is USD $167,143–$200,572. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skill set. The role also includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
