Grafana Labs is a remote company behind Grafana Cloud, an observability platform used by more than 10,000 organizations. The Grafana Catalog team owns the full lifecycle of Grafana plugins, including development tooling, publishing, discovery, installation, validation, review, delivery, and marketplace access.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates based in Canada or the United States, within the Eastern or Central time zones.

Responsibilities

Build new Grafana Marketplace features across the Grafana frontend, Go services, and grafana.com.
Improve how users and agents such as Grafana Assistant find and install plugins.
Make it easier and faster for developers to build, test, and publish plugins.
Automate and improve the review process for published plugins.
Support the operations and reliability of plugin installation and delivery in Grafana Cloud.
Work with plugin developers and partners and incorporate their feedback into roadmap items.
Suggest process improvements and collaborate closely with the wider Grafana Division.
Participate in on-call rotations and perform operations and SRE tasks.
Use AI coding assistants for prototyping, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and incident follow-ups, while maintaining strong code review and quality standards.

Requirements

Solid experience with Golang and TypeScript.
Experience with React and building user-facing web applications.
Experience with Kubernetes and microservices.
Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
Experience participating in an on-call rotation and performing operations or SRE tasks.
Ability to transform ideas into working code, design solutions, gather feedback, and deliver large projects.
Self-driven, customer-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working in a remote-first company.

Bonus Points

Experience building or publishing a Grafana plugin.
Experience working on a marketplace, app store, package registry, billing, or licensing.
Experience building developer tooling such as CLIs, SDKs, or CI pipelines used by other engineers.
Strong experience working with a Product Manager or external stakeholders.
