Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to develop and enhance data source plugins that retrieve the data powering Grafana dashboards used by teams worldwide. The role focuses on improving data source plugins, supporting their reliability in Grafana Cloud, and delivering observability tools for human and agent users.

This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States or Canada. Residents of Quebec are not eligible.

Responsibilities

Build and improve Grafana plugins that integrate third-party services and databases into Grafana.
Support the operations and reliability of plugins in Grafana Cloud.
Suggest process improvements.
Integrate data sources with agentic workflows such as Grafana Assistant.
Provide technical support during customer escalations.
Work closely with the Grafana Division.
Design solutions, incorporate feedback, and deliver large projects.
Participate in an on-call rotation and perform operations and SRE tasks.

The team owns data source plugins including Prometheus, Loki, Infinity, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS CloudWatch, and ClickHouse.

Requirements

Solid experience with Golang and TypeScript.
Experience with Kubernetes and microservices.
Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
Experience participating in an on-call rotation and performing operations or SRE tasks.
Ability to transform ideas into working code, design solutions, gather feedback, and deliver large projects.
Self-driven approach with a bias toward action and continuous feedback.
Customer-focused mindset and passion for creating intuitive products.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Comfort working in a remote-first company.

Bonus Points

Experience using Grafana and Grafana data sources.
Expertise in one of the underlying databases supported by the team.
Strong experience working with a Product Manager or external stakeholders.
