The UX team uncovers insights about users’ needs and goals and translates them into valuable, highly usable software solutions across desktop, web, and mobile products. The team supports the Bloomberg Terminal, premium desktop, web and mobile products, and internal productivity tools. Researchers, interaction designers, visual designers, prototypers, and technical writers partner with product and technology teams to deliver design solutions.

The Interaction Designer will work closely with end users and subject matter experts, take ownership of a product domain, and create conceptual solutions, interaction designs, and overall user experiences for complex systems.

  • Experience designing complex user workflows, decision-support systems, enterprise software, framework-level patterns, information architecture, and/or visualizations of large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for users’ needs throughout the design process.
  • Project management skills and the ability to proactively engage with business and engineering stakeholders as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience engaging with highly complex domains is preferred.
  • Experience in financial domains, especially fixed income or private equity/private markets; AI-powered systems; software development or engineering tools; or platform/infrastructure-level design is preferred.
