Details

NVIDIA's DRIVE AGX hardware platform runs DRIVE software for autonomous vehicles. The team is developing robust solutions that use ubiquitous navigation maps and crowdsourced maps in the autonomous driving stack. An always-available map helps enable reliable autonomous driving by providing a precise and rich model of the environment around the vehicle, including areas beyond the horizon of perception.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust and accurate solutions for map-enhanced autonomous driving, with ASIL safety requirements in mind.
  • Localize against map data to provide a precise and rich model of the environment around the vehicle.
  • Ensure algorithms perform well on large amounts of real and synthetic data across diverse environments and conditions.
  • Write safe, highly efficient real-time code in modern C++, using algorithmic parallelism through GPGPU programming in CUDA.
  • Productize software for real-world deployment in consumer vehicles while following automotive quality and safety standards, including MISRA and ISO 26262.
  • Collaborate across teams and contribute effectively within a closely integrated engineering team.

Requirements

  • PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience, MS with 4+ years, or BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with computer vision, 3D geometry, mapping, localization, or related technologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Meticulous software craftsmanship in modern C++.
  • A solid foundation in linear algebra and geometric computer vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant industry experience in the relevant technical areas.
  • Experience developing real-time computer vision systems.
  • Experience with CUDA parallel programming.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
  • Base salary range of USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
  • Salary is determined based on location, experience, and compensation for employees in similar positions.
