Details

NVIDIA is looking for a senior software engineer to join its Hardware Infrastructure team. The team delivers highly available platform services and performant web applications that integrate with data storage systems, data streaming technologies, and data visualization frameworks. These tools support engineering teams across the company in tracking, triaging, and debugging data processing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test performant frontend web applications and scalable backend web services with coherent interfaces.
  • Gather requirements and provide consultation to internal customers, including chip designers, build farm teams, and infrastructure teams.
  • Maintain services and tools with an emphasis on reliability, stability, quality of service, customer satisfaction, and deployment throughput.
  • Mentor colleagues through code reviews and pairing sessions to help solve difficult technical problems.
  • Establish guidelines for adopting agentic development to improve the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience delivering reliable and scalable web services and web applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem.
  • In-depth understanding of at least one systems-level programming language, such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience designing and developing distributed web services.
  • Detailed knowledge of modular software design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Eagerness to experiment with emerging AI tools and help scale AI use safely across teams.
  • Excellent planning, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of concurrency, locking, and multithreading.
  • Familiarity with Linux fundamentals, including systemd administration and debugging.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, as well as unstructured non-relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Published papers, blog posts, or presentations on web development or software engineering patterns and practices.
  • Curiosity and the ability to continuously learn and adapt in an environment with frequently evolving requirements.
  • Familiarity with the latest AI tools, frameworks, and technologies for improving development productivity.
