Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Python engineer to build and operate LLM-powered applications and cloud-native infrastructure. The role works within ING Analytics focused on high-scale GenAI solutions to automate and unload business process workloads. The global job architecture naming may be “Engineer III” or “Engineer IV” depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Code and compute optimizations and testing (all kinds of tests).
Build application infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure-as-Code methodology.
Build CI/CD pipelines for developed applications.
Take care of infrastructure/software security standards (prepare procedures and apply them) in line with common and ING standards.
Collaborate with data scientists in the squad.

Requirements

Proficient in Python software engineering and familiar with clean coding paradigms.
At least 5 years of experience building Python applications and running them in production.
Good at technical alignment across teams; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Experience with distributed software design using cloud-managed services (preferably GCP).
Experience in building LLM-powered applications.
