Details

NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding senior researcher working on efficient deep learning to join its learning and perception research team. The team focuses on research that pushes boundaries while creating real-world impact. Areas of interest include post-training model optimization, including pruning, quantization, and neural architecture search (NAS); efficient architecture design; adaptive and dynamic inference; resource-efficient training and fine-tuning; computer vision; deep learning; and generative models.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and implement novel methods for efficient deep learning.
  • Publish original research and speak at conferences and events.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, internal teams, and external researchers.
  • Mentor interns.
  • Work with product groups to transfer technology.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in industrial research labs.
  • At least 3 years of relevant postgraduate research experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the theory and practice of computer vision methods and deep learning.
  • Required background in pruning, quantization, NAS, and efficient backbones.
  • Experience with large language models and large vision-language models is a plus.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and PyTorch.
  • Experience with C++ and parallel programming, such as CUDA.
  • Required hands-on experience with large-scale model training, including data preparation and model parallelization using tensor and pipeline parallelism.
  • Outstanding research track record and strong communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary depends on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is USD 192,000–304,750 for Level 4 and USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5. The position is also eligible for equity and benefits.
