NVIDIA is seeking a Staff UC/Software Development Engineer to join its IT-EPE organization and contribute to the Unified Communications and employee collaboration experience. The role focuses on software development for conferencing systems, including Microsoft Teams meeting environments and Cisco RoomOS, as well as meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Slack across desktop devices, mobile applications, and meeting rooms.

The position requires software development experience, Unified Communications domain knowledge, proficiency in Python and Bash automation, API integration experience including Microsoft Graph and PowerShell, and strong communication skills. Experience operating enterprise meeting platforms, implementing UC observability and Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), and applying AI to full-stack UC product development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, operate, and evolve the Unified Communications platform, including Cisco Webex RoomOS and room systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and related collaboration services.
  • Build and maintain integrations using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and REST APIs to synchronize UC systems with identity, calendaring, and IT service platforms.
  • Build, manage, and extend full-stack UC products, including monitoring, administration tools, user-facing products, and AI-assisted capabilities.
  • Operate and enhance Cisco Webex RoomOS, room systems, and Microsoft Teams Rooms, including provisioning, policy management, firmware lifecycle management, and incident response.
  • Support employee-facing meetings and collaboration across rooms, desktops, and mobile clients.
  • Automate administrative and operational tasks using JavaScript, Python, Bash, and generative AI tools involving MCP, inference, and large language models.
  • Instrument UC observability through Call Quality Dashboard, user-experience metrics, and dashboards covering meeting and room experiences.
  • Partner with IT, networking, facilities, security, and product teams to troubleshoot issues across rooms, clients, Azure and AWS cloud services, and network paths.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in full-stack development, Unified Communications, collaboration engineering, or a closely related software development role.
  • Hands-on coding experience and UC domain knowledge involving Cisco Webex RoomOS, room systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Microsoft Teams meetings, Zoom, Google Meet, and Cisco Webex.
  • Practical software development experience supporting employee collaboration environments, including meeting scheduling and joining, hybrid room-to-desktop interoperability, calendaring, client policies, chat, calling, and video meetings.
  • IT infrastructure knowledge across Azure and AWS cloud services as they apply to UC, identity, and supporting services.
  • Working knowledge of AI models and development practices, with the ability to manage existing full-stack UC tools.
  • Experience automating and troubleshooting UC administrative and operational tasks using Python, Bash, and generative AI tools.
  • Experience with API integrations, Microsoft Graph, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with UC observability, CQD, and user-experience metrics such as call quality, join success, reliability, and device health.
  • Familiarity with webcast and streaming infrastructure, including multicast distribution for large-audience live events, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of contact center deployment, digital signage, MDM, and visitor management systems is advantageous.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, packet capture, call-path analysis, and device logs, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and speech-to-speech AI architectures and modules is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written communication, cross-functional collaboration, and operational ownership skills.
  • This position is located in the Bay Area.
