Details

The Analyst Experience Features team builds and operates the systems that power SentinelOne's dashboard and visualization layer, enabling analysts to investigate threats, surface trends, and analyze large volumes of data. The team owns the frontend and backend services behind these experiences, as well as systems integrating with the Singularity Data Lake product.

The role focuses on solving complex engineering problems and building fast, reliable, and secure systems that deliver the right data to analysts at the right time. Java is the primary language, with Python, Go, and other technologies also used.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build reliable, performant, and secure distributed backend services, primarily in Java, with Python, Go, and other technologies.
  • Analyze complex engineering problems involving data pipelines, distributed systems, latency optimization, and failure-mode improvements.
  • Contribute meaningfully to design discussions and help shape technical solutions.
  • Review teammates' code and participate in rigorous code reviews.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, investigate production issues, write root-cause analyses, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technologies, patterns, and tools, and share knowledge with the team.

  • Fluency with containerization and cloud infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with cloud data stores such as S3, DynamoDB, Redis, and RDBMS platforms.
  • A polyglot mindset and ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to write concise, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to ask questions early, identify concerns, and provide constructive feedback.
