Details

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its customer-facing Solutions Engineering team in Tokyo, Japan. The team enables global growth by educating prospective and existing customers, delivering technical demonstrations and evaluations, and helping customers succeed with Grafana Labs technology. Solutions Engineers act as a bridge between customers, the Sales team, and Grafana Labs' Product Management and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Own technical customer engagements and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide product and competitive landscape feedback.
Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public or private enablement materials.

Requirements

Located in Tokyo, Japan.
5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
Openness to various and complex assignments, requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote-first internal teams and worldwide customers.
Ability to articulate Grafana Labs' value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
Enjoys solving technical challenges and bringing creative solutions to customers.
A technical mindset and desire to grow technically.
Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC is a plus.
