SentinelOne is seeking a security pre-sales engineer to work with prospects and customers, aligning their goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings. The role focuses on Endpoint Security (EDR), generative AI security, SIEM, and threat hunting. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, effective in fast-paced environments, and comfortable presenting cybersecurity technology to executives and security practitioners. Travel of up to 50% may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the equipment can be more cost-effective.
  • Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
  • Ability to achieve mastery of SentinelOne technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience with objection handling and positioning against competitive technologies.
  • Experience speaking to both small and large audiences, using concise written and oral communication skills to lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-sized and large customers.
  • Ability to provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle. Initially, the candidate will support customers through implementation; in the near future, the role will be predominantly focused on pre-sales engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware, and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing/red teaming, or incident response is preferred.

This U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions that vary based on the candidate's location. The posted range is the on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and commissions. A different pay range may apply in some locations.
