Senior Solutions Engineer - UK / IRE

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will help the sales team drive revenue growth by evangelizing Teleport technology through demonstrations and technical discussions. You will collaborate with infrastructure engineering and security teams, design secure and scalable solutions, and guide prospects through technical evaluations and proof-of-value engagements.

The role involves working with AI technologies and infrastructure, including LLMs, MCP, vector databases, and AI tooling, as well as traditional infrastructure networking and security and modern cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers on technical discovery and map Teleport's capabilities to customer initiatives.
• Architect and deliver demonstrations and proof-of-concepts showcasing Teleport's Zero Trust capabilities, human and non-human identity management, identity governance, and identity security.
• Act as a trusted advisor to engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and security leaders.
• Advise on protecting sensitive datasets and model endpoints with identity-based controls.
• Position Teleport as a solution for eliminating API keys and static tokens in machine pipelines.
• Support customers exploring AI and LLM use cases, including secure infrastructure for training and inference workloads.
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering regarding feature gaps and market needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing on thought leadership around identity, human, non-human, and AI security.
• Support channel and technology partners with technical enablement.
• Contribute to go-to-market activities, including marketing collateral, product positioning, customer interviews, sales-cycle optimization, conferences, brand evangelism, and meetups.
• Demonstrate empathy, resilience, humility, and a willingness to use feedback for improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, DevSecOps, or another highly technical customer-facing role.
• Experience using, configuring, and debugging Linux machines and network issues.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including hands-on troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud computing platform.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and securing infrastructure at scale, including source control, code reviews, unit testing, and agile principles.
• Advanced understanding of identity security and modern Zero Trust security approaches.
• Ability to develop scripts and automation using Linux shell, Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, provisioning, and administration.
• Familiarity with AI and LLM infrastructure, including GPU clusters, data governance, inference workloads, ML pipelines, and related security requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders with credibility and clarity.
• Strong presentation, demonstration, and whiteboarding skills.
