About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it.
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, IBM, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
About the Role
We are looking for product-oriented backend engineers to join our Application Access (MCP) engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services and APIs that enable access controls, auditing tools, audit logging, session recording summarization, and identity workflows in all aspects of Teleport.
You will be involved in the entire product development cycle: working with customers to understand security needs, writing RFDs for design proposals, and implementing distributed systems in Go. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and security researchers to design features that secure and monitor access to infrastructure at scale.
You will play a key role in shaping how modern infrastructure access is secured, audited, and managed at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
- Work on scalability and resiliency of clusters with 10K+ nodes.
- Implement advanced HTTPS proxy with identity-aware access control.
- Build hardened security for Linux and Mac users.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs for access control, audit logging, session recording summarization, and identity workflows.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle: customer discovery, writing RFDs, and implementation of distributed systems in Go.
Requirements
- Go experience (implementing distributed systems in Go).
- Linux systems engineering experience.
- Web fundamentals: cookie security, HTTP streaming and proxying.
- OAuth experience.
Nice to have
- Cryptography engineering experience.
How We Hire
- 30-minute intro call to discuss compensation, interview process, and requirements.
- 30-minute call with the hiring manager to review the take-home exercise and answer questions.
- Join a Slack channel and submit a coding challenge in Go via GitHub.
