The Application Access engineering team is seeking product-oriented backend engineers to design and implement backend services and APIs for access-control auditing tools, audit logging, session-recording summarization, and identity workflows. The role covers the full product development cycle, including understanding customer security needs, writing RFDs, and implementing distributed systems in Go. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and security researchers to design features that secure and monitor infrastructure access at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
- Improve the scalability and resiliency of clusters with more than 10,000 nodes.
- Implement advanced HTTPS proxies with identity-aware access control.
- Build hardened security features for Linux and macOS users.
- Participate in the full product development cycle, from customer discovery and design through implementation.
- Contribute to access security, auditing, and management for modern infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience with Go.
- Linux systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of web fundamentals, including cookie security, HTTP streaming, and proxying.
- OAuth experience.
Nice to Have
- Cryptography engineering experience.
