Details
NVIDIA is a world leader in Gaussian Splatting and neural reconstruction. The team builds the Omniverse NuRec SDK, enabling robotics, healthcare, and autonomous vehicle developers to build better models faster with closed-loop validation and training grounded in real-world scenarios.
The graphics performance team develops and optimizes Gsplat and other accelerated libraries to achieve full system utilization and occupancy while enabling the capabilities of NVIDIA's latest hardware. The software processes large amounts of data to bridge the gap between real-world environments and simulations and support the future of Physical AI.
Responsibilities
- Implement, validate, release, and maintain highly optimized reconstruction and rendering algorithms using CUDA and Slang.
- Optimize data-processing pipelines for low latency and maximum throughput.
- Influence software architecture, validation strategy, and technical roadmaps to ensure outstanding performance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of practical experience.
- Strong fundamentals in real-time computer graphics.
- Expertise in GPU-accelerated software using CUDA, Slang, or other shading languages such as GLSL, HLSL, or Metal for low-latency, high-throughput applications.
- Expertise defining and driving performance metrics through profiling and benchmarking.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Track record of releasing production-grade software.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including source control, CI/CD, testing and validation, packaging, containerization, and release processes.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills for presenting performance challenges, trade-offs, and architectural alternatives.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies and collaborate across teams and functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributions to 3D game engines, graphics, or computer vision SDKs.
- Algorithmic expertise in neural reconstruction, including NeRFs and Gaussian Splats.
- Experience developing high-performance distributed systems.
- Mathematical foundations in linear algebra, numerical methods, statistics, and exploratory data analysis.
- A history of multidisciplinary creativity and innovation involving performance across multiple problem domains.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range of $152,000–$241,500 for Level 3.
- Base salary range of $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4.
- Salary is determined by location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
- Eligible for equity and benefits.
