GeForce NOW is NVIDIA's cloud gaming platform, delivering ultra-low-latency, high-performance gameplay from the cloud to PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and beyond. The same streaming technologies powering GeForce NOW are advancing the future of AR/VR, AI inference, and connected mobility.

This role focuses on improving the quality of experiences for GeForce NOW and next-generation use cases including automotive, robotics, and physical AI. The goal is to develop highly optimized software and algorithms and build high-performance, low-latency systems that deliver a flawless streaming experience to applications around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test high-performance C++ software for ultra-low-latency streaming.
  • Build and improve media streaming pipelines using technologies such as WebRTC, GStreamer, RTP/RTCP, and related protocols.
  • Analyze performance metrics across servers, networks, and media pipelines, and optimize GPU and CPU utilization to reduce latency.
  • Define and implement KPIs for streaming quality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with video encoding, cloud networking, and systems teams to deliver a low-latency, high-fidelity streaming experience.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in C++ software development, optimization, testing, and debugging.
  • Deep knowledge of operating systems, multithreading, socket programming, and performance-critical programming in Windows and Linux.
  • Good understanding of low-latency transport protocols such as WebRTC and QUIC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of WebRTC architecture, peer connection lifecycles, ICE handshakes, and real-time protocols including SRTP, DTLS-SRTP, and SCTP.
  • Knowledge of video codecs including H.264, H.265, and AV1; color spaces; or hardware-accelerated encoding and decoding.
  • Experience with automotive software, telematics, connected vehicle platforms, infotainment, or car connectivity.
  • Experience with QNX, QNX Safety, Linux, or embedded operating systems for safety-critical platforms.
  • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools for data-driven software development.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $152,000–$241,500 USD for Level 3 and $184,000–$287,500 USD for Level 4. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
