Responsibilities
- Develop a software-based platform that can scale indefinitely, including scalable enterprise search solutions.
- Build large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems, with attention to performance benchmarking and tuning on Linux-based systems.
- Perform thorough code reviews for peers, including interface design, code quality, and testing strategies.
- Understand customer requirements and implement them in solutions; work closely with product teams to ensure features meet requirements and quality expectations.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines to retrieve data from enterprise data sources and build a secure search index over that data.
- Design and implement user interfaces for enterprise workers to search enterprise content.
- Design APIs to enable other search-based applications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline plus three (3) months of experience in the job offered or a related field; any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
- Experience working on infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications, or building full-stack applications spanning front-end, REST APIs, and application servers, or experience training and productionizing machine learning, or experience with information retrieval systems.
- Experience with Go or C++.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Algorithmic design skills.
- Experience with data analytics.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, Django, or Flask.
- Experience with React.
Location
Location: Mountain View, CA. Telecommuting is an option. (#LI-HYBRID)
Compensation & Benefits
- Standard base salary range: $187,741 - $234,000 annually. Compensation will be determined by location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
