Details

Stripe builds programmable financial infrastructure, including reliable APIs, financial infrastructure, payments, risk, and fraud products used by businesses worldwide.

As an intern, you will work on projects across Stripe's technology stack that directly impact millions of businesses. You will own problems end to end with support from your manager and teammates, contribute to Stripe's production codebase, and learn to ship high-quality software at scale. Recent intern projects have included expanding Payments Foundation Model capabilities for generalized anomaly detection, building fraud controls, creating safer payouts, and developing user-facing solutions to prevent pricing mistakes and simplify merchant checkout setup.

The internship program is competitive and expectations are high.

  • Experience writing high-quality pull requests with good test coverage and completing projects with minimal defects.
  • Familiarity with navigating and managing work in new codebases involving multiple languages.
  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to explain work to stakeholders, team members, and colleagues.
