Details

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Revenue and Financial Automation organization is building a modern, revenue-focused financial management platform for fast-growing, digital-native companies. The team works on products including Stripe Billing, recurring and one-time payments, usage-based billing, subscription management, and revenue operations.

As an engineer on the team, you will shape and build products that help users model and operate their businesses more efficiently. You will work across technologies, systems, and processes to design, build, test, and ship code. This cross-functional role involves collaborating with infrastructure, security, design, and operations experts to build business-critical internal and external features for Stripe users worldwide.

Responsibilities

Design the next generation of Stripe products to meet the high-growth needs of the company and its customers.
Deliver value through a collaborative, user-first approach with stakeholders and customers.
Mentor engineers and help them grow.
Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.

Requirements

4–12+ years of experience in backend or platform software development.
Ability to write high-quality code in programming languages such as Go, Java, C, or C++.
Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work across team workstreams and contribute to peers’ success.
Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
Experience with subscription management, usage-based billing, or financial reporting systems.
Interest in financial infrastructure and how businesses manage revenue operations.
Direct leadership and mentorship experience.
