Glean is the Work AI platform that helps organizations work smarter with AI. Its platform includes enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, more than 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs.

The role focuses on owning and launching user-facing features in collaboration with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers. You will develop greenfield features from inception through implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities

Oversee greenfield features from inception to implementation, experimentation, launch, and beyond.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand problems and create elegant solutions.
Architect REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations while maximizing web client flexibility.
Write robust, efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
Mentor junior engineers and learn from experienced engineers.
Build systems and features used across integrations including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and GitHub.

Requirements

BA/BS in computer science or a related degree.
Experience building and shipping scalable backend features.
Experience building scalable and maintainable backend systems.
Experience building distributed CRUD functionality, ideally with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Comfort with or desire to master Golang and Java.
Experience authoring maintainable, future-proof REST APIs; OpenAPI experience is a plus.
Ability to work in a customer-focused, tight-knit, cross-functional environment.
Proactive and positive approach to leading, learning, troubleshooting, and taking ownership of tasks and features.
User-centric and empathetic approach to product development.

Compensation & Benefits

Standard base salary range: $140,000–$265,000 annually.
