Glean is the Work AI platform that helps people work smarter with AI. Its platform includes enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, more than 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, robust APIs, and Enterprise and Personal Knowledge Graphs.
Responsibilities
- Own greenfield features from inception through implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing development.
- Work with designers, product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand problems and create elegant solutions.
- Architect REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations while maximizing web-client flexibility.
- Write robust, efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Mentor junior engineers and learn from experienced engineers.
- Develop and ship intuitive user-facing experiences for modern mobile and desktop browsers.
Requirements
- BA/BS in computer science or a related degree.
- Experience building and shipping scalable features across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with consumer-grade web application frontends, preferably React-based.
- Experience authoring maintainable and future-proof REST APIs; OpenAPI experience is a plus.
- Experience building distributed CRUD-level functionality, ideally using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Comfortable with or interested in mastering Golang, Java, and TypeScript.
- Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, close-knit, cross-functional environment.
- Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership of tasks and features.
- User-centric and empathetic approach to product development.
- Candidates complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion during the interview process.
Location
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in either the San Francisco or Palo Alto office.
Compensation And Benefits
The standard base salary range is $140,000–$265,000 annually. Compensation depends on factors including location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
