Details
Glean is looking for driven engineers to solve challenging problems in data and AI security and governance. The role involves working with customer needs, researching the domain, developing novel solutions, and collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive enterprise security experiences.
Responsibilities
- Own greenfield features from inception through implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to more junior engineers.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand the problem space and create elegant solutions.
- Architect data pipelines, AI models, and REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations.
- Build flexible systems that support rapidly evolving domain requirements.
- Write robust, efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product engineering.
- Experience developing enterprise security products.
- Experience using AI/ML in products.
- BA/BS in computer science or a related field.
- Experience building and shipping scalable features across the frontend and backend.
- Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, tight-knit, and cross-functional environment.
- Proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership of both small tasks and large features.
- User-centric and empathetic approach to product development.
- Experience authoring maintainable and future-proof REST APIs; OpenAPI experience is a plus.
- Experience building distributed CRUD-level functionality, ideally with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Comfortable with, or interested in mastering, Golang, Java, and TypeScript.
- Comfortable using AI tools effectively for development.
Location
- Hybrid schedule requiring four days per week in the Mountain View office.
Compensation & Benefits
The standard base salary range is $140,000–$265,000 annually. Compensation is determined by factors including location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
