About the Role

The X Developer Platform team owns the partner ecosystem connecting X with B2B and B2C developers around the world. The team makes X data and functionality available through a consistent and reliable API suite, enabling developers and emerging agents to build products on top of X.

The platform collects, processes, enriches, and delivers hundreds of billions of signals per day. Products are highly available, scalable, optimized, respectful of X's user base, and essential to customers. The team works closely with Product and Business counterparts and directly with customers to shape future products.

X Developer API products include:

• Real-time delivery of public posts and events, filtered and enriched for customer use cases.
• Search and retrieval across the full historical archive of public content on X.
• APIs for creating, publishing, and managing content and interactions programmatically.
• Engagement, audience, and performance data for analytics and measurement products.
• Enrichment layers that add context, structure, and relevance signals to raw platform data.
• Interfaces for programmatic consumers, including agents and automated systems.
• Developer tooling, documentation, and self-service onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product leadership, business leadership, and engineers across the company.
• Maintain and improve systems serving existing customers while designing and shipping new products.
• Design clean, reliable, well-abstracted solutions for problems involving scale, correctness, and developer experience.
• Help shape the platform architecture as it grows to serve new categories of consumers, including agents and automated systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science.
• At least 5 years of industry experience working on commercial software applications or services.
• Experience with distributed systems; Kafka experience is a plus.
• Experience working with RPC frameworks and microservices.
• Understanding of core computer science concepts, including common data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $180,000–$440,000 USD per year.
