Solutions Engineer, SLED

SentinelOne is seeking a Solutions Engineer, SLED, to work with State, Local, and Education prospects and customers across the North and Northeast territories. The role involves aligning customer goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings and supporting pre-sales initiatives related to Endpoint Security (EDR), Generative AI Security, SIEM, and Threat Hunting.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
• Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
• Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
• Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
• Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
• Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
• Recommend new and improved products and explain their cost-effectiveness to customers.
• Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.
• Provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle, initially supporting customers through implementation and later focusing predominantly on pre-sales engineering.
• Travel up to 50%.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
• Experience handling objections and positioning solutions against competitive technologies.
• Experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for leading business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
• Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-size and large customers.
• Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
• Preferred experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response.

The U.S. role offers on-target earnings, including base salary and commissions, with the range varying by candidate location. The stated OTE range is $160,000–$220,000 USD.
