SentinelOne is seeking a security pre-sales engineer to work with State, Local, and Education prospects and customers across the South and Southeast territory. The role focuses on aligning customer goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings, with expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Generative AI Security, SIEM, and threat hunting.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can present revolutionary technology to executives and security practitioners, and can help accelerate sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how they can be more cost-effective.
  • Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
  • Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning solutions against competitive technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
  • Concise written and oral communication skills for leading business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-size and large customers.
  • Ability to provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle and initially support customers through implementation.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Preferred experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response.

Compensation

The U.S. role offers on-target earnings of $160,000–$220,000 USD, inclusive of base salary and commissions. The pay range may vary based on the candidate's location.
