- Deep expertise in Kotlin, the Android lifecycle, and concurrency.
- Experience with modern Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines, along with sound judgment regarding architectural tradeoffs and migration strategies.
- Strong background in Android platform and infrastructure work, such as shared libraries or frameworks, experiments and logging, navigation, startup and session orchestration, or core networking and caching.
- Strong systems thinking and hands-on problem-solving skills, with evidence of measurable improvements to app reliability, performance, or developer productivity.
- Ability to influence without formal authority, build consensus across engineering, product, design, and data partners, and communicate technical strategy and tradeoffs clearly.
- Practical experience applying AI to engineering workflows, such as code generation, refactoring, static analysis, or CI checks, with clear and measurable benefits.
