Details
NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Engineer to join its GPU Performance Infrastructure team and help validate and ship next-generation GPU architectures. The role covers the full lifecycle of GPU performance verification, from early-stage modeling to post-silicon validation, and involves building infrastructure and workflows that accelerate GPU development.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop end-to-end performance verification infrastructure.
- Build scalable data pipelines to surface performance metrics from simulation, emulation, and silicon environments.
- Coordinate with GPU architects to create infrastructure for performance verification of upcoming architectures.
- Work closely with hardware teams to automate and accelerate verification workflows, enabling faster GPU build iteration.
- Provide GPU architects with insights into current performance and help model industry-leading performance for future builds.
- Improve the daily workflows of chip architects and contribute to the development of future GPU generations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with C++ and Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and system design.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with AI development tools.
- Verilog basics are a strong plus.
- Experience with chip and/or system simulation or emulation is a strong plus.
- Exposure to GPU, CPU, or SoC chip performance verification and/or profiling on simulation, emulation, or silicon environments is a strong plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary is determined by location, experience, and the compensation of employees in similar positions. The base salary ranges are USD 124,000–195,500 for Level 2 and USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
