Bloomberg Data Products partners with clients to understand their businesses and data and financial technology needs. Bloomberg’s Pricing group is a market leader in intraday pricing and end-of-day valuations and is the primary pricing provider for Bloomberg indices.

The Private Markets Valuations team is seeking an ambitious and creative senior leader to build and scale a market-leading suite of valuation solutions across private assets. The role focuses on increasing transparency, consistency, and insight across private markets by developing robust, independent, and scalable valuation solutions.

Reporting to the Head of Pricing, this position will define and execute the strategic vision for Bloomberg’s Private Markets Valuations offering. The role involves partnering with marquee clients to design and launch innovative pricing products that address complex valuation challenges and evolving industry needs. Solutions should integrate into client workflows and support investment, risk, and portfolio management decisions.

The successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of product managers while collaborating with engineering, data, analytics, risk, and portfolio solutions teams. Responsibilities span product design, development, deployment, commercialization, and ongoing enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for Bloomberg’s Private Markets Valuations business.
  • Design, develop, and deliver valuation products across private-market asset classes.
  • Partner with marquee clients to co-create solutions for complex valuation challenges.
  • Drive global adoption and commercialization of private-markets valuation products.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, analytics, risk, and portfolio teams to integrate valuations into broader workflows.
  • Identify market opportunities and anticipate client needs in the evolving private-markets landscape.
  • Position Bloomberg’s Private Markets Valuations offering as a market-leading solution.
  • Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders to align strategy and execution.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, including development, deployment, marketing, and enhancement.
  • Monitor market trends and ensure products are positioned to capitalize on them.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of capital-markets experience, including significant experience in private markets such as private equity, private credit, or real assets.
  • Deep understanding of private-markets valuation methodologies, workflows, and challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of the private-markets ecosystem, including market participants, data challenges, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic product roadmaps.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience driving product adoption and growth.
  • Passion for innovation and building differentiated solutions in an emerging and rapidly evolving market.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex data and technology challenges.
  • Appreciation of the commercial value of data and experience monetizing data products at scale.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.
  • Leadership experience in product management, business management, or risk management within financial services.
  • Good understanding of the Bloomberg Terminal and its functionality.
  • Experience building or scaling valuation solutions for private markets.
  • Familiarity with integrating valuation data into risk, analytics, and portfolio-management workflows.
  • Knowledge of data-delivery models, APIs, and modern data platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives.
  • Prior experience developing a new product or growing an existing one.
