Details

Bloomberg’s CTO Office is the future-looking technical and product arm of Bloomberg L.P. The team designs and prototypes the next generation of infrastructure, hardware, and applications powering the Bloomberg Terminal and beyond. Its work spans AI platforms, cloud infrastructure, open-source stewardship, and generative AI innovation.

Bloomberg has applied Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to financial intelligence for more than a decade, including sentiment analysis, classification, document understanding, recommendation, and generative AI. Its AI platforms enable teams to build, deploy, evaluate, govern, and operate AI systems at scale.

This role will define and execute the strategy for internal AI Platform Experiences & Integrations. The Technical Product Manager will ensure that cross-functional product teams, including human and agent-based teams, can seamlessly discover, compose, govern, evaluate, and operate AI capabilities. The role will help define next-generation interfaces such as agent-driven experiences, copilots, workflow orchestration surfaces, and interoperable AI ecosystems while maintaining enterprise-grade governance, trust, and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the vision for the AI Platform experience layer, including surfaces that enable product teams to build, discover, and operate AI systems.
  • Treat the experience layer as a platform by shaping reusable, scalable primitives for consistent workflows across tools, agents, datasets, and evaluation systems.
  • Partner with UX, Design, and Interaction teams to co-own the roadmap, backlog, and execution of AI platform experiences.
  • Establish reusable experience patterns and design principles that can be adopted across AI Platform products.
  • Drive the integration strategy across AI platform verticals into a unified, intuitive user experience.
  • Champion a user-centric product approach across platform teams, emphasizing usability, clarity, and user productivity.
  • Prioritize and execute cross-functional initiatives across UX, Engineering, and Product, particularly where ownership is shared or ambiguous.
  • Work with UI Engineering to drive the experience backlog and align platform capabilities with front-end implementation.
  • Evolve the platform experience strategy as agentic systems grow in complexity.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical product management, ideally in AI, platform, developer tooling, or infrastructure domains.
  • Experience working with AI, generative AI, agentic systems, and emerging AI interaction patterns.
  • Familiarity with emerging agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A, interoperability patterns, and agentic UI stacks such as A2UI, AG-UI, and MCP-UI.
  • Experience shaping design systems or UX frameworks for complex products.
  • Strong understanding of developer workflows and platform usability challenges.
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, research, and platform teams to deliver impactful platform capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate a technical vision and influence diverse teams.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience with large language models, generative AI, agent frameworks, and orchestration systems is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source or developer ecosystems are preferred.
